Till: Confession
Nothing hardens a soil's surface like secrets.
Hiddenness never accomplishes what we think it will. We become convinced our sin and mistakes will disqualify us.
BUT, sin and mistakes is actually the exact requirement for fellowship and forgiveness.
Without sin and mistakes we would be correct in creating a hierarchy in God's kingdom.
But, in God's house, having all sinned, we find fellowship in imperfections being perfected.
In addition, what forgiveness can be received as long as we are trying to be so convincing that sin has no place near us?
It is in the admission we admit Jesus into our hearts and each other into community.

Flourish: Disciple Someone
In layer one you need a Christian friend to till your soil with you.
In layer two you need to be discipled by someone to enrich your soil.
In layer three you need to disciple someone else to see your life flourish from the health of your soil. You sow into someone else what is being harvested from you.
What we put in has to come back out. If we were to continually till and enrich but never flourish, our soil would become toxic.
Who are you sowing into?
I know that I feel I'm the best version of myself when I'm able to bless and invest in someone else in an intentional way.
I believe this is what fruit tastes like. But we don't taste fruit never harvested.

Enrich: Sabbath
Rest enriches.
Most of us don't trust God can do more with six days than we can do with seven. But he can, and he will.
Sabbath is a day to focus on The Lord and on rest. Sabbath puts back in what the world has been stealing all week long.
The same way sabbath gives back, we take more away than a day of rest when we choose to ignore sabbath. Now instead of resting from six days, we skip rest, and stack seven days onto the next seven onto the next seven.
The wear and tear becomes exponential. It's not that we didn't take one day of rest. It's that we have worked for 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42 days on top of each other when we were never meant to work more than six in a row.
If sabbath enriches, ignoring sabbath depletes.
Think of all the other enriching nutrients you put into your soil. Now consider how they are negated by ignoring sabbath.
Allow enriching to do its work as you rest.
